Vacation!!!

Ok, so I know I've only been back to work for a couple of weeks, but I'm already planning a vacation.

I just booked a trip to Langhorne, PA for 3 nights/4 days. It's just going to be me and Ms. D. I've never taken her away on a trip like this before. In the past, I would usually visit family or take a trip with family. I don't know why, but I'm so exicted. I've pretty much got the plans figured out for the trip, of course, all subject to change once we're there. Thurs, we'll go outlet shopping and hang around at the pool/playground. Friday and Sat we'll go to Sesame Place and on Sun I'm thinking of going to the Philadelphia Zoo and drive home from there. And being typical me, I've already packed everything in my mind. I know which outfits for Ms. D I want to take (not my clothes, just hers) and which select toys for AM/PM entertainment. I splurged a little and got us a room with a refrigerator/microwave, so I'll pick up a quart of milk for those nighttime sippy cups and bring some popcorn. I might even get some yogurts for us since we both like them for breakfast.

I also made Ms. D's first appointment with a dentist. My ped recommended 2 that are nearby. They both seem like nice offices with good dentists and nice people, but I'M terrified! Ms. D screamed so much when I tried to get her hair cut, I can't imagine what it's going to be like at a dentist's office. LOL the only good thing if she does scream is that her mouth will be open. I know the popular theory is for the mom to be relaxed when you go in so the child doesn't pick up on your nervousness. I don't know if that'll happen. I did go with the office that was all female. Ms. D's ped is a man and she is scared of him. To me, he looks like a big teddy bear but with his beard and weight I can see how a little kid could be scared. She's also scared of my brother who is also a large man. I'm hoping that since it'll be a woman, Ms. D will at least let the dentist into the room before she starts in.
