In Contract!!!

Whoohoo!!!! But not to the couple I mentioned previously. They refused to come up just that little bit and I couldn't go down any further. Instead I got an offer just $3K less than my lowest price and I decided not to try to get him up higher. As my BIL would say...sanity in one hand and $3K in the other...which is worth more?

So now my time is being pulled into about 4 different directions. I need to pack, I want and need to help with the renovations, I have to work and I need to go shopping for the essentials for when we move in. Planning on moving in around St. Patty's Day. At least that's the target date. The closing for the co-op is set for "on or about 3/1", which in real estate terms means April. LOL

I spent the earliest part of Sat and Sun morning in my attic cleaning and packing. There I was in 'jammas with a hoodie sweatshirt on, holding a flashlight and trying to organize and pack in a space I can barely stand upright in. Fortunately Ms. D decided to sleep in on Sat so by the time she woke 2 hours later I was ready to stop. Unfortunately she tried to visit up there several times Sunday. The darkess and general creepiness didn't bother her in the least.

When it comes to packing the main part of my apartment, I'm a bit hesitant. I really need to get a game plan going cause six weeks isn't a lot of time. My main plan is to move things over as each room gets finished so that I can reuse the boxes. Right now though, the only room done is the family room and there's no furniture in there. I might start shifting over Ms. D's toys, at least the larger ones to free up some space in my living room. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'll also start working in my kitchen and do the bakeware, Corningware, etc. cause there's no way I'll be doing a large meal anytime soon. Weekends we may exist on take out for the duration. My BIL cooks during the week so at least we'll have home cooking for most of the week.

Renovations are coming along. It's been about 4 weeks since we started working on the kitchen and its about 2/3 of the way done. The tile floor is down, just needs to be grouted, appliances installed and hooked up, another coat of paint and then finishing touches. I do want to get a new table and chair set. I saw a beautiful one that expands but it was a bit out of my budget. I'll wait and see what I can get during the upcoming holiday sales.

The joy of my life is getting her very first haircut next Saturday. At just over 2, I think it's time to shape her hair. Sadly I think her baby curls will be gone. Yet again there will be a ton of pictures taken. It's been a while since I got the camera out to update her picture site so those will be good to add in. It's hard to coinside the picture of the little baby I bought home from the hospital with the little girl running around in my apartment. She's turning into such a big girl now. Lately we've started to routinely brush her teeth. I love to watch her run into the bathroom and climb onto the toilet. At night she tells me to do mine as well. It's a good way to show her how to do it correctly. She loves to suck all the toothpaste off and then will beg for more. She likes the spitting part too!

Work day is almost done. Time to get ready to leave.

Later
