It's been a week
since I was last here. I had a feeling this would happen. Oh well.
Not a lot happened this week. Finally got my desk cleaned off to the point where I was able to dust it. It's been almost a year since that last happened. YAY for me. As the pessimistic side of me says: "Let's see how long that will last." I'm trying to keep it clean enough so that I can wipe it down every Friday. That along with watering the plants will be my Friday routine.
I can't quite believe it but my dd knows most of her ABC's already! The child just loves to play with letters and it's so easy to just name them for her. So she's got most of the alphabet down already. Few things we're working on is that she insists that an M is an M and a W. Also she mistakes the T for an I. Doesn't know the last few letters yet but KNOWS the Y. LOL We were driving to my BIL's this morning and at a stop light she started telling me the letters on the van next to us. I'm trying to get her to repeat the song after me. She doesn't quite make it all the way through before she gets bored.
Plan on taking her to Sesame Place this week. I took a few days off and if the weather cooperates it should be a fun time. I plan on winging it and if she's not too much of a cranky baby, we'll go to dinner with Big Bird and friends.
The sleep trials have started again. Last week it was just getting her to fall asleep in her own bed. This week I'll have to get up and return her to her bed at 12, 2, and 4 am. I'm hoping to have her sleeping the whole night in her bed by the 2nd week of September. Mommy really needs her sleep and with a trial starting in October, I need for her to be out of my bed.
