One room finally completely finished!
Only 2 more full rooms to go...lol. And a ton of finishing touches on 2 other rooms.
After being told to take vacation leave 2 weeks ago, we worked on getting Ms. D's room finished in the new apartment. I think it took all weekend just to do the painting. I decided I wanted a stripe pattern I had seen on the internet done in pink. While the actual painting part wasn't hard at all, taping all those stripes up was a ton of work. Fortunately my BIL did a lot of it while I was shopping for curtains and shades. The floor took 2 days to install but went quickly once we got past the small hallway. I put a fresh coat of white on the closet doors and the moldings around the room. On Monday I got my BIL to install the new floor moldings and the shades. I was able to come back to work and say that one room is completely finished! I'm so psyched over that.
There are 2 rooms that are almost finished, the family room and my kitchen. There is not a lot of work left in either room and I think I need to take a day or two to just buckle down and do them. It's a lot of little things that won't take a ton of time to do but with so much else to get done I don't want to stop to do them.
This weekend my brother is coming down from upstate to help my BIL demolish my bathroom. I get to completely design that too. Well I can't move the big things but I get to buy new ones and redo walls. Once the bath is finished (I figure about 3 weeks or so), we can do my bedroom. It needs a little more work than Ms. D's did. New floor, building a closet, painting and I need to install a door as well. I'm looking at a project move in date of approx. March 17th. St. Patty's Day.
Actually I wouldn't be able to move in on St. Patty's cause I have a wedding to go to that night. Not particularly excited about the wedding but it's a cousin. I'll have fun hanging with the cousins closer to my age though.
Speaking of cousins, another cousin from out of state will be coming by in 2 weeks and I can't wait. Unfortunately she's in a bad situation and is trying to make it better. That visit I'm excited for.
Anyway, our work email is down so I have to go fax something.
Have a great day.
